Buy
all of your supplies before you arrive, there are few stores in
this area
Beware
of flash floods, this is a flood plain of the Congaree River.
Biting
insects are the rule, so bring plenty of repellant.
Off
trail hiking is not recommended because of the lack of landmarks.
There
is an overpopulation of the Wild Boers, so be sure to be aware of
them. They are not aggressive but do not approach any that have
young.
Although
there are not any bears here be sure to hang all food between two
trees. There are plenty of other varmints vying for your food.
As
always, all water must be treated before drinking.
