The Davidson River Campground
Open all year $16.00 for a basic site. Perched on a the Davidson River this campground has many ammenities. Showers, organized activities, tubing and large sites make this an ideal family campground.

The Visitors Center
Exibits, books, free brochures and advice makes this a good stop for your first visit here.

Looking Glass Falls
An easy to reach observation platform at the base of Looking Glass Falls. A clasic mountain waterfall.

Sliding Rock
A natural rock slide that has been the premire swiming hole of the Southeast for many years. If you have not slid down the rock, then this is a must visit. Be prepared for some very cold water!

Looking Glass Rock Access
Rock climbers flock here but it is a great hike too. A short but steep climb takes you to excellent views of this valley.

From Asheville, NC
take I-240W to I -26E towards Hendersonville. Take the NC-280 exit # 40 (old exit # 9)
Asheville Regional Airport/WNC AG Center. At top of ramp go right on NC- 280W towards Brevard.
Go through Mills River and as you come into Pisgah Forest turn right (by Pizza Hut) on Hwy. 276 into Pisgah National Forest.
We are 11 miles up on the right. The Cradle of Forestry is located near Sliding Rock, Looking Glass Waterfall
and the Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education.If you are traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Cradle is near exit #412.
Follow signs to Brevard on Hwy. 276. We are only four miles off the Parkway. For more info. call 828-877-3130.

From Hendersonville, NC
take Hwy. 64W towards Brevard. As you hit Pisgah Forest (Pizza Hut) go straight across
the intersection on Hwy. 276 into Pisgah National Forest. We are 11 miles up on the right. The Cradle of Forestry is
located near Sliding Rock, Looking Glass Waterfall and the Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education

From The Blue Ridge Parkway
Take the Blue Ridge Parkway from Asheville from I-26 Exit 33. Follow Rt. 191 for 2.4 miles to the entrance of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Take the Parkway south for 25 miles take the Rt. 276 exit. Turn left at the end of the ramp, Rt. 276 South
