This rugged high country wilderness boasts breathtaking
scenery, cold rushing creeks, fir trees, spruce and
wild ponies. The awe inspiring views from the grassy
balds are very much like the big views that can be seen
in the American west. The wide open grassy areas are
maintained by the grazing of livestock and wild ponies.
