Ellicott
Rock Wilderness
While
on a hiking trip along the Chatooga Trail, I saw a fisherman
working a "Nice little hole". I watched him move up and
down the pool that was filled with trout. The Chatooga Trail follows
the Chatooga River for more than 30 beautiful miles. Designated
a "Wild and Scenic River" in 1985, the river is protected
from the head-waters to Lake Tugaloo. Swimming in the wonderfully
clean water after a hike is a simple pleasure every hiker should
experience. More Information about the Ellicott
