Looking

A very popular
climbing destination, this granite dome also has a great camping spot,
right on its crown. The trail begins just off of Rt. 276 near the
Davidson River Campground, in the Pisgah National Forest. The
trail to the top is short but very steep. Be sure to visit the
Cradle of Forestry, just four miles from the trail head. The Cradle
of Forestry is a museum that is dedicated to the first forestry school
that was established in the U.S.. |
