Steve Fraser began hiking in the late 1970's. He is from Charlotte, N.C. and likes to hike anywhere that has great views. His favorite areas to hike are the Smokies and the high peaks of the North Carolina mountains. Most weekends find him trekking around  back-country trails in some of the last remaining wilderness areas of the east coast.
